Zombie! Run For Your Lives! Rules Description:

Zombie! Run For Your Lives! is a light, card game that can be taught and played quickly. You must gather five different zombie-stopping items or be the last player standing to win.

You start this game with five cards. On your turn you draw one card and play one card. Light cards are useful items (played in front or you) and black cards are zombies (played in front of other players). You may not play a card that matches a card in front of someone.

The cards have an icon in the upper left hand corner. If you play a card that matches the icon but is the opposite colored card (black or white), both cards are discarded.

Once per turn after you draw you may choose to play a zombie on yourself or a useful item on another player. If you do you draw another card and then play another card.

If you ever have five zombies in front of you, you become a zombie. Zombie players discard all their cards. In their turn they draw one card and play it on any player.

If you have five different useful items in front of you or you are the last player standing, you win.

Quick Review of Zombie Run For Your Lives!:

Zombie! Run For Your Lives! is a quick-playing card game. If played with the right group it can be a lot of fun. There is really not a lot of strategy in this game and you’ll have to lucky to win. The extra turn offers a bit of strategic opportunity, but you usually will get ganged up on once you get to three or four items.

This game is more enjoyable with the politicking that may happen. Alliances may form and be broken. Other groups may play this game straight and be more every man for themselves. But they may miss out on some of the fun. My game group played this way and I think they enjoyed it less than they could have.

The components for this game are good. The art is funny and the items that match certain zombies will make you laugh too. The card are a decent thickness and the rules are easy to follow and teach.

If you like zombies or are looking for a light card game that can be played at parties then try out Zombie! Run For Your Lives! If your group enjoys lighter games that many can play and involve politics, you would enjoy this too.
