Tiki Topple Review

Tiki Topple Rules Description:

Tiki Topple is a fast-paced, light strategy game that is a bit chaotic and fun. There are nine tikis that can be moved up and down in the order or removed from the line. Your goal is to move your secret scoring tikis into the top three.

Each player starts the game with the same set of cards that may be played once. They move a tiki up one, two or three spots, remove the bottom tiki from the board or drop any tiki to the bottom. You also receive a card with three tikis on it. These are the tikis that will score you points if they end the game in one of the top three positions. The round ends if there are only three tikis left or everyone has used up their cards. The number of rounds depends on the number of players.

Scoring is quick and easy. If you get the first tiki on your card in first place you score 9 points. Getting the second tiki on your card into first or second place scores you 5 points. And having your third tiki in any of the top three positions scores 2 points.

A Quick Review of Tiki Topple:

Tiki Topple is a great family game. It’s simple rules and fast gameplay make it enjoyable for all ages. It is a bluffing game that requires some thought toward the endgame. Since you must play a card every turn it really stinks when you must toast (remove) on of your scoring tikis. Remembering what other players still have in their decks combined with knowing which tikis will score for them are both key to winning. That being said Tiki Topple is a bit chaotic and even the best laid plans can be toast quickly. I recommend this game to anyone with young kids as I have read many children under the suggested age of 10 can play this and know what they are doing. It is also a fun filler that is easy in your wallet.
