PitchCar Review

PitchCarStats:
No. of players: 2-8
Amount of time to play: 10-30 min
Age requirements: 6+
Set-up time: 10-15 min

PitchCar is a dexterity, racing game. You must flick your car past the finish line before the other players.

PitchCar Rules Description:

PitchCar uses a wooden track with plastic rails to simulate a race track. You have a wooden disc that represents your car. On your turn you flick your car the first player to complete three laps wins the race.

You can race a solo qualifying lap to determine the race order or just choose. You cannot land off the track or hit another car off the track. If you do your car and the other car return to their positions before your turn and the next player goes. You also reset your car if it flips over.

When you finish you score from ten to one points based on your place. You can try different tracks and complete a series totaling your points to determine a final winner.

Quick Review of PitchCar:

PitchCar is a fun game that appeals to most anyone. It is fun for all ages and gamers and non-gamers too. You can teach this game to most anyone and be playing in a few minutes.

The components are great. The track and cars are high quality and looks great. The rules are simple and straightforward.

I am not a big fan of dexterity games. They are probably my least favorite type of board game. That said I really like PitchCar. It is just a ton of fun to flick the cars around the track and try to get as far or best positioned as you can.

There is a two player variant called Pursuit. In this version one player starts halfway around the track and the other begins at the starting line. The first player to catch their opponent wins. I really like this variant for two.

The next thing that is so good about this game is its accessibility. Most anyone can play it. My three year old daughter enjoys it and my five year old son is better than me. It can even play up to eight players, although the track does get crowded.

The only things that will keep the game off the table are its size and the setup time. The track takes up a lot of space. Depending in your game table it might not even fit on it. Setup and tear down take some time too.

PitchCar is just a ton of fun. It plays quickly and can be played by all. Once you get things set up you’ll want to play track after track. If you like flicking games you should pick it up. If you want an excellent family game this should be on your list. But like I said at the beginning most anyone can play PItchCar so if given the chance you should give it a try.
